Blazing a Program Path to Excellence
A major defense program suffered from several quarters of subpar execution
performance, which in turn reduced incentive payments and strained customer
relationships.
Collaborating with Global Aperture, program leadership took a structured
approach to analyze the major program technical and organizational issues,
and identified the “root” causes. The team developed an eight-initiative
solutions roadmap dubbed the “Program Path to Excellence”
to serve as the cornerstone for program improvement planning and communications
across the extended team.
Not only did the team align around the roadmap, but the customer recognized
the changes as effective in formal feedback. Incentive payments are up,
and future enhancements are in discussion.
